Karl Joseph Inkrott

NEW CLEVELAND – Karl Joseph Inkrott, 90, of New Cleveland, died at 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 6, 1933, in Leipsic to the late John and Amelia (Bellman) Inkrott.  On September 1, 1954, he married Marilyn Ann Lammers, who preceded him in death on January 5, 2018.

Karl is survived by ten children: Dennis (Brenda) Inkrott of Monclova, Roger (Carol) Inkrott of Wooster, Martin (Carol) Inkrott of Loudon, TN, Nicholas (Sharon) Inkrott of Leipsic, Michael (Rebecca) Inkrott of Englewood, Patrick (Rose) Inkrott, Pamela (Gregory) Schroeder, and Lisa (Louis) Schnipke, all of New Cleveland, Julie (John) Riepenhoff of Miller City and Brian (Kelly) Inkrott of Glandorf; forty-seven grandchildren; eighty-six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ralph (Edna) Inkrott.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael John Riepenhoff; and two sisters: Mary (Alvin) Konst and Ruth (Tom) Ellerbrock.

Karl graduated from Miller City High School and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Putnam County Farm Bureau, Cooperator of Putnam County Soil and Water Conservation, Ottawa Knights of Columbus, Ottawa Eagles, Miller City Sportsman Club and Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland, where he served as an usher and was involved in the Holy Aide Society. Karl was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing horseshoes and cards. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially attending his grandchildren's events.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland with Fr. Scott Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.  A vigil service will begin at 1:45 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Bridge Home Health & Hospice, Findlay, Sisters of St. Francis, Tiffin, or Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland.
