Karl H. Kleman
Glandorf - Karl H. Kleman, 84, of Glandorf died 3:35 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2016 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. He was born October 30, 1931 in Glandorf to the late Albert L. and Gertrude (Uphaus) Kleman.
Karl is survived by 3 three sisters: Betty (Oscar) Burgei of Glandorf, Rosemary (Bruce) Hume of Indianapolis, Indiana and Audrey Cornelius of Columbus; 11 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. Karl is preceded in death by a brother, Robert J. Kleman.
Karl was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic church, Glandorf; its church choir for over 60 years and its Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Ottawa K of C, Ottawa American Legion, Ottawa Eagles and O-G Athletic Boosters and loved attending sporting events. He was also a member of the zoning appeals board for Ottawa Twp. He was known by his family and kids in the community as the lollipop man. He loved playing cards and visiting with his coffee buddies.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Church, Glandorf, with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa American Legion, VFW and Am Vets. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with a scripture service at 1:45 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, OTTAWA.
Memorials may be given to St. John's Capital Campaign Fund or O-G Athletic Boosters.
