Kathern E. Finnegan

OAKWOOD- Kathern E. Finnegan, 100 of Oakwood passed away at 8:20 a.m., Sunday October 22, 2023 at her residence. She was born October 15, 1923 in Washington Township Paulding County, to the late Lawrence and Grace (McCullough) Stanton. She married Edward Finnegan on February 11, 1942. He preceded her in death December 25, 2010.

Survivors include three children: Violet Talbott, Chuck (Linda) Finnegan, both of Oakwood, and Cindy Taylor of Paulding; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; and a sister Irene Wyhatt of Marion, Indiana.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Back; granddaughter, Melissa Talbott; two brothers: John and Harold Stanton; and a sister, Doris Howell.

Kathern retired from G.M. in Defiance, where she was a member of the UAW. She enjoyed going to the lake and spending time with family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood, with Pastor Jeff Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Little Auglaize Cemetery, Melrose. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
