Kathleen Ann "Kathy" Blankemeyer
June 24, 1966 to October 3, 2026
COLUMBUS - Kathleen Ann "Kathy" Blankemeyer, 60, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Kathy was born June 24, 1966, in Tipp City, Ohio to Robert "Bob" and Judith "Judy" Blankemeyer. She graduated from Kalida High School in 1984 and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Communications from Bowling Green State University. In 2025, she fulfilled a meaningful goal by graduating from Charis Bible College.
For 27 years, Kathy built a successful career as a realtor, finishing her career with Realty Solutions. Her warmth and genuine interest in people made her a natural at helping others find their place to call home.
Kathy's deep faith and personal relationship with Jesus guided everything she did. She had a passion for spreading the gospel and gave generously of her time and talents, serving on the boards of Jesus Film and International Cooperating Ministries (ICM) and staying deeply involved with the Center for Christian Virtue (CCV).
Kathy loved adventure, travel, and time on the water, and she was never happier than when she was on a boat, especially at her beloved Norris Lake in Tennessee. She was fiercely competitive and always ready for a game of pinochle or competitive solitaire. She cherished her friends and was a stranger to no one.
Kathy is survived by her brothers: Dennis (Denise) Blankemeyer of Johnstown, Ohio, and Kurt (Kate) Blankemeyer of Columbus, Ohio; her sisters: Lynn (Nathan) Schulte of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Beth (Scott) Warnecke of Kalida, Ohio; her nieces and nephews: Brooke (Brad) Schwass, Jacob (Maria) Blankemeyer, Rae (Riley) Blankemeyer, Will Blankemeyer, Rosetta (Alyssa) Schulte, Xavier Schulte, Glorianna Schulte, Lilyana Schulte, Lincoln Warnecke, Mason Warnecke, and Reed Warnecke; and her great nephews: Beckett, Jrue, and Kaysen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert "Bob" and Judith "Judy" Blankemeyer; and her sister, Josephine Blankemeyer.
A celebration of Kathy's life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on November 13, 2026, at Harvest Hills Farm 670 Hills Miller Road Delaware, Ohio 43015.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jesus Film or International Cooperating Ministries.
