Kathleen Sager

OTTAWA -- Kathleen Sager, 83, of Ottawa died 4:45 a.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Meadows of Kalida.  She was born May 18, 1935 in Malinta to the late Wilbert and Ardella (Warniment) Niese.  On December 28, 1953 she married Donald Sager, who preceded her in death on November 29, 2010.

She is survived by 3 daughters:  Carla (Herb) Sill of North Ridgeville, Sherry Niese of McComb, and Brenda (John) Basinger of Kalida; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren with one on the way; 3 brothers:  Don (Jeanie) Niese of New Bavaria, Marvin (Doris) Niese and Gene (Pat) Niese, both of Leipsic; 2 sisters;  Carolyn (Larry) Korte of Glandorf and Linda (Jim) Maas of Gilboa.

Kathleen is preceded in death by a son-in-law:  Jerry Niese; 2 sisters:  Martha Bellman, and Betty Niese; 3 brothers:  Melvin Niese, Gail Niese and Joseph Niese; a grandson:  Warren Sill; and 2 great-grandchildren:  Logan and Marek Moros.

Kathleen was a homemaker.  She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland and was a member of C. L. of C., New Cleveland.  She loved to help people and loved helping her family and friends.  She was a loving, professional Grandma

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Monsignor Charles Singler officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture service will be held at 1:45 p.m.
