Kathryn E. Rieman
Leipsic -- Kathryn E. Rieman, 94, of Leipsic died 6:35 a.m.  December 17, 2013 at The Meadows of Leipsic. She was born in Leipsic, July 16, 1919 to the late Frank J. and Theresia (Winkler) Schroeder. On August 20, 1940 she married Leo J. Rieman. He died August 5, 1992.
She is survived by 5 children: Sr. Lisa O.P. of Detroit, Dorothy (Joe) Ruen of Cloverdale, Don (Marsha) Rieman of Greenville, Steve (Carol) Rieman of Bryan, Joe (Cindy) Rieman of Hilliard; 14 grandchildren: Lori ( Ed) Brinkman, Brian (Jodi) Ruen, Mark (Debbie) Ruen, Lynn Ruen, Marie (Jim) Dowling, Dan (Stacie) Ruen, Doug (Alison) Rieman, Nick (Marisa) Rieman, Mike (Amanda) Rieman, Michelle (Mark) Mischley, Stephen (Amitha) Rieman, Scott (Molly) Rieman, Jennifer (Brian Dressel) Rieman, Katie (Noah) Shunfenthal;  18 great-grandchildren; a sister: Mildred (Joe) Brubaker; 2 sisters-in-law: Karis Schroeder and Ialeen Schroeder; and a brother-in-law: Albert Lammers. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers: Ralph (Alice), Raymond, and Guy Schroeder; and 3 sisters: Sr. Mary Victor, SND, Syvilla (Alfred) Odenweller, and Marie Lammers.
Kathryn was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, it's Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Rosary Altar Society. She was also a member of the Leipsic American Legion Auxiliary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with the Very Reverend George Wenzinger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic where there will be a rosary at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
