Kathy J. Stevens

OAKWOOD – Kathy J. Stevens, 74, of Oakwood, passed away at 9:45 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Brookview Healthcare Center, Defiance.  She was born June 8, 1950, in Lancaster to the late Norman and Betty (Baker) Leach.  On November 8, 1969, she married Robert Stevens, he preceded her in death on October 18, 2022.

Kathy is survived by two children:  Kelly (Shawn) Kruse of Oakwood, and Stacey (Brice) Travis of Continental; two grandchildren:  Dakota Porter of Napoleon and DeLaney Porter of Oakwood; a sister: Dianna Harris of Thornville; a brother: Rick Leach of Junction City; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by a grandson, Lucas Stevens; two brothers: Norman Leach, Terry and his wife Jan Leach; and a brother-in-law, Dennis Harris.

Kathy retired from Con-Agra, Lancaster.  She liked to do crafts and enjoyed flowers and birds.  Kathy also loved to read.

Funeral service will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood with Pastor James Hiltner officiating.  A private burial will be at a later date at Grandview Cemetery, Bremen, Ohio.  A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday.
