Kay Marie Warren
OTTAWA - Kay Marie Warren, 69, of Ottawa, passed away at 1:42 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 31, 1955, in Lima to the late Francis "Bud" and Ruth (Palte) Hermiller. On December 1, 1979, she married Mike Walker, who preceded her in death on June 23, 1998. On June 11, 2010, she married Fred Warren, who survives in Ottawa.
She is also survived by three children: Matt (Katie) Walker, Bryan (Heather) Walker and Allie (Matt) Rosebrock; three stepchildren: Lindsay (Joe) Ormsby, Ali (Brian) Fulcher and Joel (Christine) Warren; 17 grandchildren: Lyla and Burke Walker, Mason and Owen Walker, Emma, Raegan, Walker and Beau Rosebrock, Will, Drew, Caroline, Eleanor, Kate and Vivian Ormsby, Charlie and Henry Fulcher and Walter Warren; nine siblings: Bill Hermiller, June (Clete) Buddelmeyer, Tom (Janet) Hermiller, Tim (Janet) Hermiller, Mary (Dave) Warnecke, Steve (Judy) Hermiller, Charles (Masae) Hermiller, Jerry (Amy) Hermiller and Mike (Laura) Hermiller; brother-in-law, Tom (Connie) Smith; and in-laws: Kathy (Leroy) Schnipke, Steve (Barb) Walker, Karen Deters, Dan (Jen) Walker, Sheryl Leopold, Heide Podlich, Micki (John) Cox and Robert (Annette) Warren.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Smith; a brother-in-law, Denny Deters; and in-laws, Tom (Ethel) Walker.
Kay retired from Whirlpool, Ottawa, formerly W.C. Woods. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. She loved her family and grandchildren immensely, attending many of their sporting events and making snow cones at the pond with them. Making garden orbs was a retirement "hobby" she greatly enjoyed as well. She was always digging and working outside, creating the most beautiful and peaceful property. Kay also loved spending time and enjoying countless sunsets from her backyard oasis with her amazing family and group of friends. She had a special gift for cooking, entertaining and gathering people, making all feel welcome and loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. this Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Ottawa Knights of Columbus.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
