Kay M. Ricker

LEIPSIC – Kay M. Ricker, 69, of Leipsic, passed away at 12:48 a.m., Friday, May 10, 2024 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born July 24, 1954, in Florida, Ohio to the late Donald and Ruth (Thrasher) Hubert. On February 23, 1973, she married Jim J. Ricker, who preceded her in death on May 10, 2016.

She is survived by three children: Christy Davis of West Lafayette, IN, Jen Ricker and her husband, David Haus, of Wapakoneta, and James Ricker of Lima; two grandchildren: Jordan Davis and Jackson Ricker; six sisters: Dianne, True, Marty, Joy, Mary and Dawn; and two brothers: Faron and Mike.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Kay formerly worked as a teacher for Head Start Preschool in Defiance, Ohio. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa. Kay was very devout in her faith and active in the ladies bible study group. She was an avid reader, loved playing cards, and doing beaded crafts. She dearly loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She took comfort in knowing that she would be reunited in heaven with her beloved husband.

A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 24, 2024 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa with Pastor Marcella Ciccotelli officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, May 24, 2024 prior to the service at the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa.
