Kenneth E. Beckman

LEIPSIC – Kenneth E. Beckman, 88 of Leipsic died 12:55 a.m. Sunday, August 25, 2024 at The Meadows of Leipsic.  He was born November 1, 1935 in Delphos to the late Oscar and Christina (Warnecke) Beckman.  On September 30, 1968 he married Ailene Mullins.  She died September 28, 2016.

Survivors include three siblings: Mel (Ann) Beckman of Kalida, Helen (David) McElderry of Lima, Charles (Carol) Beckman of Leipsic; a sister-in-law, Susie (Jim) Stewart; several nieces and nephews: Mike (Barb) Bush, Teresa (David) Taylor, Christina (James) Bazylewicz, Rick (Tina) Beckman, Laurie (Scott) Schnipke, Scott (Jackie) Shutt, Timothy Shutt, Kevin (Amber) Beckman, Josh (Darcie) Beckman, Jay (Shannon) Beckman, Kory (Leslie) Beckman and Elijah Beckman; and several great-nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Joan (Don) Busch.

Kenneth was a lifelong farmer and worked for Inbody Ditching.  He was a US Army National Guard Veteran.  Ken was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic. He loved water skiing, snow skiing, gardening, raising award winning coon dogs, hunting, and was a big fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Guardians.  Ken had a great sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his family and friends.

A funeral mass will begin at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. Randy Giesige officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the funeral Wednesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.
