Kenneth C. Gross
OTTOVILLE – Kenneth C. Gross, 83 of Ottoville, died 1:40 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2026, at The Meadows of Ottawa. He was born August 19, 1942 in Natrona, PA to the late Eugene and Myrna (Coffman) Gross.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Marge Hicks of Ottoville; a son, Ken (Jenise) Gross of Cheswick, PA; two granddaughters: Shaylin (Sarah) Matta of Russellton, PA, Jaden (Derek Andrasy) Gross of Cheswick, PA; four stepchildren: Cheryl (Tom) Siefker, Lois (Roger) Laudick, Connie (Bob) Knott, Brenda (Bill) Honigford all of Ottoville; nine step-grandchildren: Shayla Koester, Abby Sallisbury, Brendan Siefker, Justin Laudick, Kayla Lambert, Evan Laudick, Kyle Kroeger, Alyssa Honigford and Ross Honigford; 15 step great-grandchildren; and three siblings: Beverly Armitage of Ford City, PA, Alan (Pat) Gross and Dean Gross both of FL.
He was also preceded in death by a son, David Gross; and five siblings: Genevieve Tort, Tom Gross, Rick Gross, Harry “Sonny” Gross and Olive Ramerez.
Ken was a truck driver with Ron Gross Trucking. He served in the US Army and was a member of the Fort Jennings American Legion, Ottoville VFW and the Ottawa Eagles. He enjoyed woodworking and built many toy chests and doll beds for the grandchildren. He loved football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Fresenius Kidney Care, Putnam County Hospice, and the Meadows of Ottawa for their care of Ken.
Funeral services will begin at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at LOVE HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Twp. with Very Reverend George Mahas officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville at a later date. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be given to Putnam County Hospice, Heart Warriers and a Village for Congenital Heart Disease.
