Kenneth E. "Kenny" Meyer
Glandorf – Kenneth E. "Kenny" Meyer, 75, of Glandorf died 1:05 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born June 16, 1936 in Ottawa to the late Lawrence and Martha (Feltman) Meyer. On April 15, 1961 he married Anna Brinkman, who survives in Glandorf.
Also surviving is his daughter: Gail (Roy) Kehres of Cloverdale; 1 brother: Donald (Doris) Meyer of Ottawa; and 3 sisters: Lillian (Evan) Neiswander of Lima, Alice (Ray) Kohli of Hilliard, and Dee Dee Breece of Ottawa.
He is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Raymond Meyer and Robert Meyer; and 1 sister: Vivian Halker.
Kenneth was a retired truck driver from Shawnee Distributors. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf and an Army veteran. He was also the former Chief of the Glandorf Fire Department, a social member of Ottawa VFW, a member of the Ottawa American Legion and the Ottawa Eagles.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Ken Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa American Legion. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a Glandorf Fire Department service will be held at 7:00 p.m. and a Parish Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m.
