Kevin Schnipke
KALIDA – Kevin Schnipke, of Cloverdale, went to be with the Lord on July 9th, 2025. Kevin, a devoted parishioner of St. Michael's Catholic Church, loyal employee at K &M Tire, friend to everyone, and passionate family man. His genuine personality was felt by all who knew him. He was born October 11, 1959, in Lima to Donald and Joan (Recker) Schnipke. His father precedes him in death and his mother survives in Kalida.
Married to the Love of his life, Marie, on September 26, 1980, they shared 44 years of true love. Kevin and Marie raised four beautiful daughters that were the heart of Kevin's life: Jamie (Neil) Webken, Kelly (Bubba) Brokamp, Casey (Adam) Siefker, all of Kalida, and Alison (Brian) Laubenthal of Columbus Grove. Kevin's love for family only grew stronger when grandchildren were brought into his life: Madaline (Rheese Backhaus) Webken, Makenna Brokamp, Addison Brokamp, Zachary Siefker, Weston Laubenthal, Eva Laubenthal and Dylan Laubenthal. His spare time was graciously spent at dance recitals, sporting events, or anything else the grandkids wanted grandpa to do.
Kevin is also survived by four siblings: Karen (Dale) Vorst, Keith (Deb) Schnipke, Kathy (Larry) Unverferth and Kris (Nancy) Schnipke; and mother-in-law, Mary Phillips.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jim Lindeldecker; sister-in-law, Sandi Kidd; and father-in-law, John Phillips.
Kevin's commitment to K&M Tire for 49 years was a testament to his tenacious work ethic. From working at the gas pumps to Real Estate Director his passion for his work and the employees he worked with at K & M Tire was admired by all of those who were along his awe-inspiring journey. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida and the Kalida Lions Club. Kevin also liked to spend time with family and friends relaxing at the cottage on Maumee River or "Up North" in Michigan. Kevin used these times to teach those around him the importance of slowing down and enjoying the important things in life. He also found great enjoyment playing Canasta with Marie and their Best Friends Gene and Terry.
