Kim C. Travis
KALIDA - Kim C. Travis, 55, of Kalida died at 6:10 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2013 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born May 10, 1957 in Dayton to the late Nicholas and Iva E. (Poole) Pohlabel. On August 24, 1974 she married Gregory Travis who survives in Kalida and they are divorced. Her loving companion, Steve Duling survives in Ottawa.
Also surviving are 3 children: Tracey (Dwight) Maag of Leipsic, Troy (Melissa Weber) Travis of Kalida, and Shane (Gina) Travis of Kalida; a step daughter: Stacy Duling; a step Son: Michael Duling; 8 grandchildren: Tyler, Olivia, Alexa, and Travis Maag, Jacie Thomas, Jordan, Tori, and Logan Travis; 2 brothers: Steven (Lenore) Pohlabel of Burlington, WI., Kyle (Tracy) Pohlabel of Dayton; 2 sisters: Kelle (Raymond) Venable of Huber Heights and Lisa (David) Morrison of Germantown; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by a brother: Terry Schoonover.
Kim was a grill cook for University of Northwest Ohio, Lima. She was known as "Aunt Bea" by her nieces and nephews and enjoyed going to the beach, bowling, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Kalida. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
