LADONNA SHISLER

LaDonna (Dimock) Shisler, age 83, of Oakwood, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Sunday morning, May 11, 2025.  LaDonna was born March 17, 1942, to the late Dorr and Agnes (Critten) Dimock. She grew up in Putnam County and lived in Dupont until 1960, when she married Nolan "Tucker" Shisler, of Oakwood. They had three sons, Nick and Rick, both of Oakwood and Brian, her son, who preceded her in death.

LaDonna also leaves behind her best friend since 1963, Linda Braun and a (step) granddaughter, Brigette (Sean) Turay. Brigette gave her, Tucker and Nick two beautiful grandchildren, Jax and Meela. Brigette came into their lives when she was eight years old, and she loved her Grandpa Tucker just as much as she loved Nick and her Grandma Donna.

LaDonna was preceded in death by her husband, Tucker, her son, Brian and 14 siblings: Paul Dimock, Darold Dimock, Thelma Bradford, Maxine Clark, Eilene Myers, Ada Squires, Marcille Tuohy, Betty Cory, Marlee Dimock, Harvey Dimock, Pete Critten, Carl Dimock, Faye Kamphaus and Ed Dimock. She loved her family dearly and always felt very blessed to have spent many times with her siblings and their families.

The funeral service for LaDonna will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood with Pastor Richard Larimore officiating.  Burial will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Oakwood.  Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

LaDonna requested no flowers or funeral memorabilia.  Memorial contributions may be made to CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center, where she received compassionate care before being called to her eternal home.
