LaDonna L. Koenig
LEIPSIC – LaDonna L. Koenig, 79, of Leipsic died at 1:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 04, 2012 at the Meadows of Ottawa-Glandorf. She was born August 10, 1933 in Lucas County to the late Yvo and Grace (Wise) Gillen. On October 16, 1954, she married Homer Koenig and he died December 11, 2001. Surviving are 6 children: Karen (Jim) Baird of Knoxville, TN, Mike Koenig of Leipsic, Gary (Leah) Koenig of Glandorf, Teresa (Rodney) Welty of Findlay, Chris Hovest of Ottawa and James (Carol) Koenig of Columbus Grove; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Ruth (Harry) Phillips of Lynn Haven, FL, Sister M. Yvette Gillen, RSM of Clinton TN, Beverly (Dick) Nye of Spring TX.; a sister-in-law: Nancy (Gerry) Lonsway of Toledo. She was preceded in death also by a brother: Norman Gillen.
LaDonna was a homemaker and a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. She was a member of the Leipsic Catholic Ladies of Columbia and the Red Hat Ladies.
A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2012 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m.Thursday and one hour prior to service Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a scripture service at 2:30 p.m.
