Lambert Charles "Charley" Westrick
OTTAWA – Lambert Charles "Charley" Westrick, 84, of Ottawa, went to join the love of his life, wife, Juanita on November 11, 2025 at The Meadows of Ottawa. He went peacefully in his sleep.
Charley was born on September 13, 1941, in Ottawa to the late Lambert and Margaret Cole Westrick. He was the only son with five sisters: Mary Jo Sarmir of Denver, CO, Pat Kuhlman and Jeanie (John) Crom of Findlay and Sue and Barbara Westrick, both deceased.
Charley is survived by three children: Pam (Bob) Sager of Glandorf, Mike (Sandy) Westrick of Ottawa and Kim (Devin) Erickson of Jacksonville, FL. His remaining two sons: Mark and Jeff are in heaven with Juanita.
He was a loving grandfather of 11: Leah, Kyle, Matt and Jon Westrick, Andy and Stacy Campbell, Jackie (Scott) Loehrke, Kristi (Logan) Smith, Brent (Nicole) Sager and Ethan Erickson. His grandson, Austin Erickson, is also in heaven. Charley was also a proud great-grandpa to 12 children.
Other surviving family members include: Judy (Rick) Miller, Nub (Rosalie) Fenbert of Wheelersburg and Jeannie (John) Crom of Findlay. Deceased extended family members include: father and mother-in-law, Bernard and Regina Fenbert; brothers and sisters-in-law: Jud and Kate Schroeder, Dan Kuhlman, and Mildred Fenbert.
Charley retired from Dow Chemical, Findlay after 32 years. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. Charley loved to hunt in his active years, and thoroughly enjoyed his hunting trips with many fellow hunters, the "Five Amigos." He also loved his euchre games with the guys. Charley and Juanita visited 48 states in their motor home. He was a member of the Leipsic Eagles for years. His last years of enjoyment were spent driving around and visiting his old memories through the car window. Note – the family would like to apologize to all the drivers who got behind his "slow-moving" vehicle.
Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation with family will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the mass. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
