Laura Lee "Cutch" Wagler

LEIPSIC – Laura Lee Wagler, 87, of Leipsic, passed away at 12:45 a.m., Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Meadows of Leipsic.  She was born January 28, 1935 in Allen County, to the late Daniel and Mae Etta (Arnie) Cutchall.  On February 5, 1955, she married Thomas W. Wagler. He preceded her in death on August 6, 1973.

Survivors include three children: Dan Wagler of Hershey, PA, Jeff (Lynette) Wagler of Bloomdale and Amy Reddinger of Leipsic; 10 grandchildren: Grace Wagler, Miles Wagler, Liam Wagler, Pierce Wagler, Mercy Wagler, Thomas Wagler, Christopher Wagler, Jonathan Wagler, Nicole Castillo and Danielle Wagler; and 3 great-grandchildren: Xavier, Timmy and Wesley.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Wagler.

Laura graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor's degree in education. She retired from teaching after 29 years at St. Mary's Catholic School, Leipsic.  She also worked for Brookhill residential home for women in Pandora.  Laura was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic and the Hen's Club.  She loved books and reading was one of her favorite hobbies. Laura loved rescuing animals and never turned away a stray.  She had a "pure love" for her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed any moment spent with them.

Funeral Mass will begin 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. Randy Giesige officiating. Burial will follow at West Belmore Cemetery, Belmore. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Parish Life Center, Leipsic.

Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.
