LaVERN N. KUHLMAN
OTTAWA - LaVern N. Kuhlman, 74, of Ottawa, died Saturday, June 15, 2013 at his residence.  He was born November 17, 1938, in Leipsic, to the late Wilfred "Bill" and Anna Mae (Doepker) Kuhlman.  On August 26, 1988, he married, Bertha Hoffman.  She died June 20, 2011.
Survivors include: 4 step children; 7 step grandchildren; 15 step great-grandchildren; siblings, Ron (Marie) Kuhlman of Kalida, Adrian (Pat) Kuhlman of Ayersville, Joanne Schmitz of Glandorf, Steve Kuhlman of Ottawa and Joyce (Jon) Smith of The Woodlands of TX; 5 nieces and 9 nephews; and  his companion, Margie Smith of Deshler
LaVern retired from General Motors of Defiance in 1996 after 37 years.  He attended Leipsic High School.  He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, Ottawa Knights of Columbus, Ottawa and Leipsic Eagles, Findlay Moose, and a social member of the Ottawa and Leipsic VFW.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Leipsic.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a K of C rosary will begin at 7:30 p.m.
