Leon H. Boedicker
OTTAWA – Leon H. Boedicker, 67 of Ottawa died at 11:19 a.m. Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf. He was born June 16, 1945 in Lima to the late Leon LeRoy and Mary Elizabeth (Schellenberg) Boedicker. He is survived by 2 sisters: Shirley Boedicker of Ottawa and Joyce Barnes of Hamilton.
Leon retired from Craybar in Leipsic. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa. He was a member of Ottawa American Legion and Sons of the American Legion, member of the Ottawa Eagles, Ottawa Athletic boosters and their 300 club.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa with Pastor Lynda Lockwood officiating. A military service by the Ottawa American Legion and VFW will be held after the funeral at church. Burial will be at a later date in Harman Cemetery, Gilboa. Visitation will be held Friday, July 13, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa, Ottawa-Glandorf Boosters or to the Ottawa American Legion.
