Leona C. Alt
Ottawa - Leona C. Alt, 93, of Ottawa, died  6:40 a.m.  Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Meadows of Putnam Acres.  She was born April 20, 1919 in Miller City to the late  Bernard and Anna C. (Siebeneck) Niese.  On October 5, 1957,  she married Edwin B. Alt who survives in Ottawa.
Leona is also survived by a daughter: Kathy (Keith) Schulte of Ottawa; a sister: Alfrieda Schroeder of   Glandorf 2 brothers: Wilford Niese of Columbus Grove and Arnold Niese of Miller City; 3 grandchildren: Louis Schulte of Columbus, Tony Schulte of Willoughby and David Schulte of Ottawa.  She is preceded in death by 4 brothers: Urban, Edmund, Hugo and Amos Niese and 2 sisters, Colletta Bockrath and Mary Verhoff.
Leona worked for Tripplet in Bluffton and Sylvania in Ottawa.   She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and its Altar Rosary Society.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating.  Burial will follow in church cemetery.   Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with a scripture service at 2:30 p.m.
Memorials may be given to Sts. Peter & Paul School Endowment or the charity of donors choice.
