Linda L. Schulte

OTTAWA-Linda L. Schulte, 73 of Ottawa, died at 12:48 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at her residence.  She was born May 26, 1947 in Lima to the late Donald L. and Mildred F. (Niese) Bidlack.  On April 1, 1967 she married Michael Schulte, he survives in Ottawa.

Linda is also survived by five children: Chris (Bruce) Kuhlman, Sherri (John) Recker, both of Ottawa, Greg (Julie) Schulte of Union, KY., Jason (Kim Kelly) Schulte of Ottawa, and Amy (Erik) Selhorst of Glandorf; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother: Mark (Kay) Bidlack of Ottawa.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Schulte and a granddaughter, Emily Recker.

Linda was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.  She and Michael fostered over 75 children for 25 years and still maintained contact to this day.  As an advocate for children's issues, Linda was very passionate as the director of the Crisis Center in Ottawa for a period of time.  She loved to go camping, especially at Yogi Bear in Pierceton, IN.

Funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Scott Kramer officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass Saturday at the church. Due to the restrictions regarding COVID 19 masks will be required upon entering the church.
