Lisa A. Shaffer

OTTAWA – Lisa A. Shaffer, 59, of Ottawa, passed away at 4:22 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  She was born May 21, 1965, in Lima to James Robert and Eloise (Romes) Karl.  Her father precedes her in death, and her mother survives in Kalida.

Lisa is also survived by two children:  Stacy (Jesse Alvarado) Shaffer and Sean Shaffer, both of Ottawa; four grandchildren: Wyatt, Vivian, Ellisyn and Jesse; sisters:  Karen Hall of Holgate, Debra (Eric) Cline of Defiance, and Becky (Justin Dunaway) Bockrath of Pandora; and a brother: Kenny (Deb) Karl of Kalida.

She is preceded in death by her father, and a brother-in-law, John Hall.

Lisa was a Juvenile Parole Officer for 25 years; she had also worked in home health for 22 years.  She was the life of the party and loved to have fun.  Lisa was very strong-willed, honest and responsible.  The family would like to thank Mercy Health St. Rita's ICU and Hospice Staff for their exceptional care, and a very special thank you to Lisa's niece, Susan Hall for her gracious caregiving of Lisa.
