Lois M. Weller

CONTINENTAL – Lois M. Weller, 93 of Continental, passed away at 3:25 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the Meadows of Ottawa. She was born February 25, 1930 in Continental to the late Harvey and Vada (Bauer) Wight. On May 7, 1950 she married Howard H. Weller, he preceded her in death on August 3, 2016.

Lois is survived by a son: Michael (Jane) Weller of Continental; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; five step-great-great-grandchildren; and a brother: Donald (Loretta) Wight of Alabama.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia (Robert) Wesche; and a sister, Dorothy (Joe) Lawman.

Lois was a member of Continental United Methodist Church and former member of Hartsburg Methodist Church. She helped lead Vacation Bible School at Continental and Hartsburg, and also helped with the funeral lunches at the church. Lois helped her husband run the family dairy farm. She served on the Putnam County Farm Bureau and on the Advisory Council at the Huntington Bank, Continental. Lois loved all kids. She also liked cows, gingerbread houses and flowers.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental, with Pastor Doug Flinn and Pastor Chuck Schmunk officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental. A visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and again one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
