Loretta J. Miner

DEFIANCE – Loretta J. Miner, 86, of Defiance died at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the Gardens of Paulding. She was born June 21, 1931 in Oakwood to the late Arby Sr. and Leota (Shafer) Bennett Lehman. On October 19, 1976 she married Thomas A. Miner and he died August 19, 1999.

Also surviving are three children, Gary (Pat) Bennett of Paulding, Dianne Carroll of Kentucky and Eileen (Michael) Miner of Continental; three siblings, Galen Lehman, Nancy Hickle, and Mae Scott; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Also preceding in death was a son, Ronnie Bennett; four brothers, Donald "Jimmy" Bennett, Arby Bennett, Jr., Leroy Bennett, Oscar Lehman, and John Lehman; and four sisters, Margaret Lehman, Janet Hook, Janette Yoquette, and Alice Jasso.

Loretta was a homemaker. She was a member of Paulding F.O.E. #2405, Golden Eagle, Continental American Legion and Defiance VFW.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2017 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Pastor Ray Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
