Louis A. Klausing
PAULDING - Louis A. Klausing, 84, of Glandorf died at 4:06 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Paulding County Hospital. He was born January 16, 1942, in Ottawa to the late Paul and Arline (Meyerhoffer) Klausing. On October 5, 1968, he married Mary Barb Karl, who preceded him in death on July 10, 2016.
He is survived by a son Kevin (Kim) Klausing of Ottawa; a sister: Elaine (Dale) Jostpille of Fort Jennings and 3 grandchildren: Drake Klausing, Tessa Klausing and Austin Radcliff.
In addition to his wife and parents, Louis is preceded in death by a son: Paul Klausing
Louis retired from GM in Defiance. He was a lifetime member of both the Paulding Fish and Game and the Leipsic Fish and Game. He was a member of the Defiance Fish and Game and the Paulding Eagles.
He was a former member of the Glandorf Fire Department and the former Glandorf Police Chief. He was also a former member of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Auxiliary.
There will be a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2026 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Father Matt Keller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa and again on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. There will be a scripture service Thursday at 2:45 p.m. in the funeral home.
