Lucinda A. Horstman
CLOVERDALE- Lucinda A. Horstman, 96, of Cloverdale, died at 8:12 p.m. Thursday, June 28,
2012 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born October 29, 1915 in Ottoville to the late Joseph and Gertrude (Unverferth) Dickman. On August 12, 1939, she married Aloysius A. Horstman and he died January 20, 1997. She is survived by a daughter: Kathryn Copeland of Lima, 2 grandchildren: William Hale and Teresa (Eric) Homier; 3 sisters-in-law: Eulalia Gerschutz of Ottawa, Marietta Dickman and Ercel Dickman both of Alma, MI and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son: Charles Horstman; 4 sisters: Donelda Horstman, Ladonna Bendele, Juliann Dickman, Louella Maenle and 2 brothers: Edwin Cickman and Urban Dickman.
Lucinda was a cook at Paradise Oaks Nursing Home in Cloverdale and had worked at the Ford Plant in Detroit. She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church, Cloverdale and its Altar Rosary Society and Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was also a former choir member and an altar sacristan.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Cloverdale with Fr. Roger Bonifas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at LOVE-FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township (at the corner of St. Rts. 224 & 634).
Memorials may be made to St. Barbara Cemetery or to a charity of the donor's choice.
