LUELLA M. MULLEN

Van Wert -- Luella M. Mullen, 88, of Van Wert, formerly of Oakwood, died 8:42 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2016 at her residence. She was born August 9, 1927 in Paulding to the late Albert and Alma (Harris) Conley. On October 24, 1942 she married Orval H. Mullen who survives in Van Wert.

She is also survived by two children: James (Brenda) Mullen of Oakwood and Judy (Darrell) Wieging of Ohio City; four grandsons; several great-grandchildren; and one sister: Lowanda (Matt) Schulte of Van Wert. She is also preceded in death by a son: Dr. Orval L. Mullen and several brothers and sisters.

Luella was a member of Melrose United Methodist Church.  She  was co- owner with her husband of O.H. Mullen Sales, Inc. of Oakwood, and sold Avon for many years in the Oakwood area.

A funeral service will be held 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2016 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood, with Reverend Robert Fry officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
