M. Felicia Dickman
FORT JENNINGS - M. Felicia Dickman, 87, of Ft. Jennings, died at 9:55 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born February 26, 1926 in Lima to the late Felix F. and Josephine E. (Cooley) Schroeder. On June 10, 1950 she married Elmer B. Dickman who died March 3, 1980.
She is survived by 8 children: Mary Jo (Robert) Schmersal of Ottawa, David (Diane) Dickman of Wapakoneta, Louise (Phillip) Barling of Fort Smith, AR, James (Karen) Dickman of Ft. Jennings, Thomas (Magaly) Dickman of Albuquerque, NM., Barbara (David) Brotherwood of Delphos, Eugene (Patricia) Dickman of Delphos, and Ann (Steven) Geise of Swanton; 30 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Joseph (Irene) Schroeder of Ottawa.
Felicia was a retired teacher from Ft. Jennings Local Schools where she was the music and band director and taught special education. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings where she played the organ for nearly 50 years. Felicia taught piano and voice lessons to many area children, was a member of Putnam County Retired Teachers Association, Ft. Jennings American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the former Ft. Jennings Rosary Altar Society. She enjoyed bowling and was on the same bowling team for 50 years. She also enjoyed traveling, especially with her dear friend, Eda Kohls, but above all she loved spending time with her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings with Fr. Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township and one hour prior to the mass on Monday at the church. There will be a scripture service Saturday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings.
