Mae I. Wells

OTTAWA - Mae I. Wells, 84 of Ottawa, died 9:20 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2018 at The Meadows of Ottawa.  She was born August 10, 1933 in Delphos to the late Ebbie and Nellie (Boerger) McGue.  On June 16, 1956, she married Clark Wells.  He died September 4, 2014.

Survivors include three children: Rebecca (Kelly) Strate of McComb, Dennis (Nancy) Wells of Franklin, TN and John "Jack" (Rindy) Wells of Findlay; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and a brother, Howard (Sue) McGue of Delphos.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Tom Wells; two brothers: Louis and James McGue; and a sister, Sara Kennedy.

Mae retired from Sylvania after 30 years.  She was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle in Lima.

Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Ottawa with Rev. Marshall Metzger officiating.  Burial will follow in Harman Cemetery, Gilboa.  Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Monday and 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday all at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Ottawa.

Memorial donations may be made to Putnam County Hospice.
