Marcella M. "Sally" Schierloh

GLANDORF - Marcella M. "Sally" Schierloh, 102, died at 1:48 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born May 13, 1916 in Miller City to the late Charles and Theresia (Duling) Morman. On October 15, 1938 she married Charles Schierloh who died on September 11, 1995.

She is survived by four children, Carl (Sharon) Schierloh of Glandorf, Ruth (David) Laudick and Harold (Judy) Schierloh both of Ottawa, and Rita (Harry) Donaldson of Columbus Grove; twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; eleven step great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and seven step great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Rita Jane Schierloh; grandchildren, Gregory Schierloh, Christine Schierloh, and Stephanie Donaldson; a great-grandson, Cody Schierloh; a brother, Clarence (Louise) Morman; and two sisters, Mary Morman and Martha Morman.

Sally was a homemaker and she helped on the farm. Her love for her family and faith in God was always her first priority in life. She was a loving and caring mother and always there for her children, grandchildren. She enjoyed baking, gardening, flowers, and traveling and playing cards with her lady friends. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, its Altar Rosary Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and a former member of the Ottawa Eagles Auxiliary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman and Fr. John Laudick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a Scripture Service at 1:45 p.m. and a Parish Rosary at 7:30 p.m.
