Margaret M. Stefanek

KALIDA - Margaret M. Stefanek, 70, of Kalida, died at 3:04 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Vancrest of Van Wert.  She was born September 18, 1950 in Lima to the late Adolph and M. Irene (Jaegers) Maag.  She was formerly married to Dr. Dale C. Stefanek, DDS.

Margaret is survived by her two children: Andrew (Lori) Stefanek of Van Wert and Natalie (Johnathan) Cooper of Ortonville, MI; three grandchildren: Charles, Alexandra and Lillian Stefanek; one great-grandchild: Noelle Stefanek; two sisters: Dee Dee (Don) Schlagbaum of Ottoville and Linda (Mike) Chartrand of Lima; two brothers: Ted (Mary) Maag of Danville, CA and Ken (Susan) Maag of Kalida.

Margaret was a former teacher in California and Ohio. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida. She was also an active member of the Iota Omega Chapter of the Phi Beta Psi Sorority, Kalida.

Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.  Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Kalida.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 4 - 7 p.m. and again on Sunday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
