Margaret L. Ranes

OTTAWA – Margaret L. Ranes, 87 of Ottawa died 9:20 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Van Crest in Delphos.  She was born October 1, 1934 in Continental to the late John T. Sr. and Edith (Grant) Ranes.

Margaret had seven children: Patricia (Bob) Butterfield, Shirley (Greg) Tyree, Ervin Butler, Jeanette Powers, Michael McClure, Roseanna (Ruben) Minjarez and Steven McClure; 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings: Margorie, John Jr., Elanore, Donald, Martin, Alice, Flossie, Wilbur, William, Angel, Martha, Jerry, Patricia and Norine.

She was also preceded in death by two children: Bruce Shartzer and June Jerwers.

Margaret had worked for the Putnam County Sentinel.  She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and baking.
