Margaret Ferrell Ward

GILBOA - Margaret Ferrell Ward, 92, of Gilboa, passed away 11:55 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2015, at Bluffton Hospital.  She was born January 20, 1923 outside of Gilboa to the late Rolland and Ada (Little) Ferrell.  On November 3, 1944, she married Clarence Ward who died in 1990.

Survivors include 2 children: Louis (Mary) Ward of Gilboa and Jane Ward of rural Ottawa; 4 grandchildren: Amy Gedelian of Findlay, David (Nikki) Ward of Vanlue, Kasey (Tasha) Williamson of Memphis, TN and Katrina (Cedric) Hall of Grand Prairie, TX; step grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by an infant son: Paul Ferrell Ward; her sister: Alice McGee; and brother: Joseph Ferrell, who was killed in action during WWII in 1944; and grandson: Kristopher Williamson.

Margaret was a farmer's wife.  She was a lifelong member of the Gilboa United Methodist Church and the Harter-Williams Legion Auxiliary.  She graduated from high school at Crawfis College High School.

A memorial service will begin 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Gilboa United Methodist Church, Gilboa with Pastor Tom Graves officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the church or Ada Public Library.
