GLANDORF - Margaret M. Siefker, 95, of Glandorf, passed away on 11:23 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at The Meadows of Kalida surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on April 23, 1926 five minutes before her twin sister, Mildred, in Glandorf to the late Bernard and Martha (Morman) Warnecke.  On September 12, 1945, she married Paul C. Siefker.  He preceded her in death on August 16, 1983.

Margaret is survived by seven children: Richard (Marilyn) Siefker, Daniel (Judy) Siefker, both of Glandorf, Joan Zimmerly of Ottawa, Julie (Larry) Grismore of Glandorf, Michael (Jill) Siefker of Ottawa, John (Pat) Siefker and Aaron (Joan) Siefker both of Glandorf. All of Margaret's children shared the same zip code, because she loved keeping all of  her peeps in her backyard.  She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Bea Hovest, Patricia Weber and Helen Warnecke.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Linda Stemen Siefker; two grandsons: Mark Siefker and Kurt Siefker; two great-grandchildren: Erika Siefker and Dustin Siefker; four sisters: Lenore (Wilfred) Schiffli, Marcella (Alvin) Recker, Rosemary (Charles) Siefker, Millie (Harold) Vorst; five brothers: Lambert (Teresa) Warnecke, Rudolf (Dorothy) Warnecke, Urban Warnecke, Elmer Warnecke and Thomas Warnecke; in-laws: Herman Weber, Donald Hovest, Rev. James Siefker, Edward (Wilma) Kreinbrink and Julia Siefker.

Margaret attended Base Line School and Glandorf School which she spoke of fondly. She retired from Phillips, Ottawa. Margaret was a dedicated farm wife and mother who loved to bake cookies for her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and enjoyed attending all their sporting events.  She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf where she served as a Eucharistic minister and was a member of its Altar Rosary Society and Catholic Ladies of Columbia. After retirement, Margaret enjoyed bowling, piano and helping to serve lunch to Marilyn's babysitting kids.  Many of them called her "Grandma Margaret" and as they grew up, helped to take care of her at the nursing home. She also enjoyed a good game of solo being part of the same card club for over 50 years.
