Margit Hashbarger

LIMA - Margit Hashbarger, 84, passed away on August 22nd, 2026, at The Meadows of Delphos. She was born in Berlin, Germany on June 5th, 1942, to Erich and Johanna Spielmann, who preceded her in death.

She married Lee Hashbarger on March 13th, 1959, in Berlin, came to the U.S. with him in 1961, and gained her U.S. Citizenship in 1965.

She enjoyed being a homemaker; gardening, canning, cooking and baking, crafting, organizing the Lutz Rd. Garage Sales, and working at Lost Creek Country Club and The Bentwood Restaurant at Best Western for many years.

Survivors include her daughter, Sonya Hashbarger, brother, Rolph (Monika) Spielmann, cousin, Marlis (Rüdiger) Huss, and many nieces and nephews in Germany and the U.S.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Hashbarger, son, Daniel Hashbarger, brother, Eberhard Spielmann, and step-daughter, Linda Lee Hashbarger.

Memorial and burial will be at Marion Township Cemetery in Hamler, Ohio at a later date. She and her husband will be laid to rest at the same time. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
