Marie L. Kuhlman
OTTAWA – Marie L. Kuhlman, 86, of Ottawa, passed away at 3:28 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2026, at The Meadows of Kalida surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 26, 1940, in Lima to the late Aloysius and Mary (Schroeder) Siefker. On January 27, 1962, she married Ronald Kuhlman, who survives in Kalida.
Other survivors include five children: Pamela (Michael) Langhals of Ottawa, Christine (Douglas) Gulgin of Bowling Green, Michelle (Daniel) Foppe of Glandorf, Brent (Tracy) Kuhlman of Mason, Keith Kuhlman of Toledo; nine grandchildren: Jonathon Shadle, Lindsey Schulze, Clair Breece, Nathan Foppe, Noah Foppe, Carson Gulgin, Christian Gulgin, Braiden Kuhlman and Gavin Kuhlman; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters: Eunice Pohl of Quincy, MI, Jane Kleman and Joan Peck, both of Kalida; and three sisters-in-law: Mary Catherine Siefker of Ottawa, Marilyn Siefker of Kalida and Joan Siefker of Kalida.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Cole Michael Foppe; five siblings: Helen (Joe) Gerding, Thomas Siefker, Daniel Siefker, Carol (Virgil) Ellerbrock and James (Esther) Siefker; and three brothers-in-law: Barney Pohl, Earl Kleman and Larry Peck.
Marie retired as a teacher’s aide for Ottawa-Glandorf Local Schools and worked for Weight Watchers for 25 years. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. Marie was an avid walker who enjoyed sewing, making alterations and creating bridesmaid dresses. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday and again on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
Memorial donations may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School: Endowment Fund.
