Marie A. Kreinbrink

OTTAWA -  Marie A. Kreinbrink, 98 of Ottawa passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Meadows of Ottawa. She was born April 27, 1919 in Kalida to the late Joseph and Frances (Knott) Schroeder. On June 11, 1947, she married John L. Kreinbrink who died May 8, 1983.

Surviving are six children: Rebecca (Daniel) Fanger of Kalida, William (Barbara) Kreinbrink of Ottawa, Thomas (Jeanne) Kreinbrink of Ottawa,  Nancy Kreinbrink of Chillicothe, Joseph (Diana) Kreinbrink of Ottawa, John (Sarah) Kreinbrink II of Glandorf; 12 Grandchildren: Carter Fanger, Eric (Jill) Kreinbrink, Gina Kreinbrink, Chet (Devin) Kreinbrink, Ross (Adie) Kreinbrink, Cheryl (Bart) Urbaniak, Rachel (Alex) Ford, Caleb Williams, Jacob (Jessie) Williams, Kelly (Ross) Ruhe, Brad (Leigh Brock) Kreinbrink, John (Alyssa) Kreinbrink III; 10 great-grandchildren: Morgan and Kaitlyn Kreinbrink, Larson and Vaughn Kreinbrink, Asia, Kayla and Zander Penn, Bristol Williams, Cooper Ruhe, Ayla Kreinbrink; 2 brothers: Richard (Angie) Schroeder of Kalida and Donald (Margie) Schroeder of Kalida.  She was also preceded in death by three brothers and their wives: Harry (Rose) Schroeder, Walter (Eleanor) Schroeder, Robert (Rita) Schroeder and two grandchildren: Craig and Kylee Kreinbrink whose parents are Joseph and Diana Kreinbrink.

Marie was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and their Altar Rosary Society and Catholic Ladies of Columbia.  Marie looked forward to interacting with the Glandorf Lumber Co. employees and customers. She enjoyed baking cookies with her granddaughters, caring for her lawn and flowers and attending grandparent's day at various schools throughout the years. Her Hamilton Lake cottage gave her much joy and in her later years she and her friends would travel to the lake to relax and play cards.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2014 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Rick Friebel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture service will begin at 7:50 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Putnam County Hospice or to the charity of the donor's choice.
