Marilyn Jane Steffen
PANDORA - Marilyn Jane Steffen, 77, of Pandora died Sunday, March 3, 2013 as a result of an auto accident in Florida. She was born January 6, 1936 in Bluffton to the late Franklin and Evelyn (Hall) DeVore. On July 10, 1965 she married John Israel Steffen who also died in the accident.
She is survived by 3 children: Terry (Dee) Steffen of Pandora, Cheryl Steffen of Ventura, CA., and Kimberly (Gregory) Cramer of Defiance; 5 grandchildren: Jennifer (Jesse) Crowe, Jeremy Steffen, Andrew Steffen, Renae Cramer, and Emily Cramer; and a brother: S. David (LynnAnn) DeVore of Findlay.
Marilyn was a retired first grade teacher from Pandora-Gilboa Schools. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church in North Ft. Myers, FL., and Healing Streams Pentecostal Church of God, Gilboa. She was also a member of the Pandora Garden Club, the Retired Teachers Association, and Pentecostal Church of God Women's Club. Marilyn played the organ at both of the churches for many years. Her family was her greatest joy in life. She was caring of others continually and could not turn away anyone in need.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Healing Streams Pentecostal Church of God, Gilboa with Pastor Wayne Baldridge officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Pandora. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Healing Streams Pentecostal Church of God, Gilboa.
