Marilyn R. Schroeder

LEIPSIC- Marilyn R. Schroeder, 85, of Leipsic, died 1:25 a.m. Monday, January 1, 2024 at the Meadows of Leipsic. She was born January 11, 1938 in Glandorf to the late Leo and Mary (Kahle) Ellerbrock. On June 21, 1958, she married Norman Schroeder, he survives in Leipsic.

She is also survived by five children: Doug (Laura) Schroeder of Leipsic, Mike (Laura Jo) of Continental, Jane (Al) Pingle,  Max (Karen) Schroeder, both of Leipsic, and Greg (Pam) Schroeder of New Cleveland; a brother, Eugene Ellerbrock of Glandorf; a sister, Judy Ward of Findlay; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren with one on the way. She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Stechschulte; a brother-in-law, Lawrence Stechschulte; and a sister-in-law, Edna Ellerbrock.

Marilyn was a member of  St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic and its Catholic Ladies of Columbia Council #6 and its Altar Rosary Society. She was a great mother and loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday January 4, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. Steve Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and again one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday at St. Mary's Parish Life Center, Leipsic. A C.L. of C. rosary service will begin at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
