Marilyn D. Grote

CLOVERDALE - Marilyn D. Grote, 81, of Cloverdale died at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice. She was born April 11, 1936 in Lima to the late Gilbert and Veronica (Weiging) Grubenhoff. On March 3, 1962 she married Ronald Grote who died January 28, 2013.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda (Stewart) Mills of Scott; a brother, Tom Grubenhoff of Ft. Jennings; brother-in-law, Jim Grote of Cloverdale; sister-in-law, Judy (Bob) Brinkman of Cloverdale; nieces and nephews, Donald Grubenhoff, Craig (Angie) Brinkman, and Lisa (Brian) Barnett; and her beloved dog, Sassy.

She was also preceded in death by her niece, Doris Bell, and a sister-in-law, Virginia Grubenhoff.

Marilyn drove truck with her husband and worked at Express Mart in Ottoville. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with the Very Reverend Jerome Schetter officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township. Memorials may be made to Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.
