Marilyn D. Westrick

OTTAWA - Marilyn D. Westrick, 82, of Ottawa passed into the arms of her Savior at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at her residence, with family by her side. She was born August 22, 1938 in Putnam County,Ohio to the late Rudolph and Catherine (Inkrott)  Scheckelhoff.  On October 5, 1957 she married Delbert E. Westrick, he survives in Ottawa.

Marilyn is also survived by her children: Randy (Lisa) Westrick, Michelle (Jeff) Stechschulte, both of Ottawa and Craig (Karyn) Westrick of Leipsic; five grandchildren: Dr. Lindsay (Brian) Bradbee, Paige (Travis) Frey, Matthew ( Dr. Lauren) Stechschulte, Brittany (Austin) Hawley, and Emily Westrick; six great-grandchildren: Nye, Truman, and Alvie Bradbee, Cameron and Luca Frey and Ava Stechschulte; a sister: Wilma Radabaugh; two brothers: Roy (Erma) Scheckelhoff, Earl (Regina) Scheckelhoff; and a sister-in-law: Mary Scheckelhoff.

She is preceded in death by a daughter: Lana K. Westrick; brothers: Herbert Scheckelhoff and James (Mary Lou) Scheckelhoff; sisters: Janet (Tom) Schroeder and Alice (Clark) Herring; and a brother-in-law: Charles Radabaugh.

Marilyn was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.  She was retired from Westrick Realty as a real estate broker and the office manager.  She was involved in the Optimist Club and the Drum and Bugle Corp in previous years.  She worked tirelessly her whole life. She loved to garden and to cook and bake for her family.  She enjoyed scrapbooking for all of her grandchildren, and doing special activities with them.  We hold dear to all the wonderful memories we had together and she will be missed greatly.

A private funeral service will be held at a later date.  A private burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
