Marjorie B. Barrera

DUPONT – Marjorie B. Barrera, 80, of Dupont passed away at 7:37 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at her residence.  She was born June 17, 1943, in Toledo to the late Charles Keith and Elizabeth L. (Edler) Ames. She married James Barrera, he survives in Dupont.

Marjorie is also survived by six children: Elizabeth (Kerry) Shindeldecker of Van Wert, Lynn (Brian) Blatner of Rome City, GA., Anne (Frank) Townsend of Woodstock, GA., Sarah McAoo of Ellijay, GA., Wendy Garner of Cedar Town GA., and Sylvia Vincent of Lexington, KY.; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister: Mary Speiser of Continental; and a brother: Charles (Doris) Ames of Oakwood.

She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Virtue Taylor and a brother-in-law, Terry Speiser.

Marjorie was a retired truck driver.  She loved to travel.

No services will be held at this time.  Arrangements are under the direction of HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental.
