Marjorie E. “Margie” Chamberlin
OTTAWA - Marjorie E. “Margie” Chamberlin, 78, of Ottawa, passed away at 7:18 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. She was born September 11, 1947, in Lima to the late Arthur and Mary (Kuhlman) Niese. On January 26, 1990, she married Robert Chamberlin, who survives in Ottawa.
Other survivors include three children: Lorrie (Leo) Tripp of West Chester, Paulette (Mike) Bennett of Leipsic and Kevin (Brandy) Kuhlman of Harrod; two stepdaughters: Misti Bailey and Theresa Rodriguez; four grandchildren: Derrick (Anna) Bennett, Sara Bennett, Matthew Tripp and Ross Tripp; six siblings: Judy Schreiber, Ron (Kathy) Niese, Steve (Vic) Niese, Duane Niese, Mike (Brandy Opperman) Niese and Tina (Tom) Niese; two sisters-in-law: Karen Niese and Brenda Niese; and nine in-laws.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three siblings: Kenny Niese, Larry Niese and Mary Lou Niese; a brother-in-law, Joe Schreiber; and four in-laws.
Marjorie enjoyed babysitting for over 18 years and had many bonus children. She was the former bar manager for Ottawa VFW, where she was a member of the auxiliary. She was also a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, Ottawa Eagles Auxiliary and Middle Point Amvets. Marjorie loved traveling, Huggy Bear Campground, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends.
Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 17, 2026, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Miller City. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday prior to the mass at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
