Mark "Butch" Langhals
ALVA, FL – Mark "Butch" Langhals, 74, of Alva, FL and formerly of Kalida died Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Hope Hospice House, Lehigh Acres, FL. He was born February 12, 1951, in Lima to the late John and Clara (Schroeder) Langhals. On November 20, 1971, he married Phyllis Schnipke, who survives in Alva, FL.
He is also survived by 2 sons: Ross (Karrie) Langhals and Doug (Holly) Langhals, both of Kalida; 4 grandchildren: Evan Langhals, Ethan Langhals, Griffon Langhals and Charlie Hutchins; 10 siblings: Dory Schumaker of Columbus Grove, Aggie (Herb) Schumaker of The Villages, FL, Sam (Rene) Langhals of Ottawa, Bede (Jerry) Agner of Marion, Hun (Dan) Wander of Worthington, Chip (Steve) Croy of Houston, TX, Theresa (Dale) Rosengarten of Glandorf, Mick (Pam) Langhals of Ottawa, Pat (Joanie) Langhals of Glandorf, Martin (Lois) Langhals of Lima, and 3 Sisters-in-law: Joan Langhals of Glandorf, Judy Gerding of Ottawa and Deb Langhals of Glandorf.
Butch is preceded in death by 5 siblings: Nick (Rose) Langhals, Bob Langhals, Virgil Langhals, John Langhals and Dan Langhals.
There will be a graveside service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025 in St. Michael's Cemetery, Kalida with Father Phil Smith officiating. Also on Saturday, there will be a celebration of life with dinner and drinks at the Kalida Fish and Game Club beginning at 4:00 p.m. Local arrangements are by Love Funeral Home, Ottawa.
