Marlene R. Schroeder

OTTAWA - Marlene R. Schroeder, 70, of Ottawa died at 10:34 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born March 4, 1946 in Lima to the late Albert J. and Alice (Schroeder) Konst. On April 20, 1963 she married David Schroeder who survives in Ottawa.

Also surviving are three children: Cynthia (Kevin) Wolke, Lisa (Keith) Alt, and Brad (Kathy) Schroeder all of Ottawa; seven grandchildren: Jason Joseph Wolke, Erica Claire Wolke, Courtney Breanne Alt, Cody Thomas Alt, Carly Alexandra Alt, Zackary David Schroeder, and Haley Alexis Schroeder; a sister: Janice (Tom) Moening of Beverly Hills, MI; and a brother: Ronald (Sue) Konst of Westerville, OH. She was also preceded in death by a son: Jeff Schroeder.

Marlene was a homemaker and former owner and administrator of Loving Care Day  Care in Ottawa for twelve years . She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and the Ottawa Fire Ladies. Marlene enjoyed caring for children, Seraphim Angels, traveling, camping, spending winters in Florida, and she was an avid reader. Marlene especially loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery, New Cleveland. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. Memorials may be made to the Loving Care Day Care in Ottawa.
