Martha C. "Charlene" Dockery

NORTH CREEK – Martha C. "Charlene" Dockery, 84, of North Creek, went to join her beloved husband, Hobert and her fur babies at 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Bridge Hospice, Bowling Green, Ohio.  The oldest sister of nine children, Charlene was born July 3, 1937 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Charles and Martha (Augusta) Smith.  On May 26, 1970 she married Hobert I. Dockery, he preceded her in death on September 13, 2017.

She is survived by seven children: Kathrine Dockery Muncy, Tammy Dockery Snow, Martha (Mickey) Kingrey Altherr, Brenda Dockery Bruce, Isaac Dockery, Melinda Kingrey Walker, and Shelly Dockery.

She is also preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Donald Kingrey.

Charlene loved her family and was always ready for family and friends to pull up a chair for coffee or to fix a meal.  Charlene and Hobert loved to go to country music shows, and they saw many of the country stars.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 26, 2021 at Monroe Cemetery, Continental, officiated by Pastor Charles Schmunk.  Arrangements are under the direction of HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental.
