Mary Lou (Baker) Patrick

LEIPSIC – Mary Lou (Baker) Patrick, 90, of Leipsic, died 10:15 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017 at her residence.  She was born March 8, 1927 in Gilboa to the late Roy and Zella (Hall) Baker. On August 28, 1948, she married Gordon S. Patrick who died June 19, 1991.

Mary Lou is survived by three children: Robert (Pati Weis-Hohenbrink) Patrick of Ottawa, Thomas Patrick of Leipsic, and Jane Patrick of Findlay; 2 grandchildren: Kelly (Hohenbrink) Rush and Nicki (Hohenbrink) Bergen; Nieces & Nephews: James Triplehorn, Linda (Triplehorn) Murphy, Connie (Triplehorn) Shirey, Kevin Triplehorn, Beth (Baker) Misener, and David Baker; her cousins: The Hall and Baker families including Mildred (Hall) Powell and Dixie (Baker) Shaffer. She was preceded in death by her 2 brothers: Clifford and Jack Baker.

Mary Lou was a lifelong member of the Gilboa United Methodist Church and the Chapel Belles women's ministry. She was a Gilboa American Legion Auxiliary member. Mary Lou retired from McIntosh Stamping in Bluffton, OH and had previously worked for Sylvania in Ottawa, OH and Rusco Industries in Pandora, OH. She loved to sing for weddings, funerals, church services and community programs, accompanied by her lifelong friend, Jessie Nash. Mary Lou enjoyed making floral arrangements, home decorating and shopping. She loved researching ancestors with her husband, Gordon. Their favorite trip after retiring was to Scotland and Ireland tracing family history.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 1 to 3 pm at Gilboa United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm officiated by Pastor Ruth Carter-Crist. with burial to follow in Harmon Cemetery, Gilboa.
