Mary A. McCague

DEFIANCE – Mary A. McCague, 74 of Defiance died 4:54 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at University of Toledo Medical Center, Toledo.  She was born March 16, 1944 in Defiance to the late George William and Mabel (Relyea) Bodenburg.  On October 15, 1966, she married Douglas McCague.  He died June 29, 2016.

Survivors include a daughter, Debralee McCague of Oakwood; a granddaughter, Raven McCague of Napoleon; a sister, Karen Heilshorn of Oakwood; and two brothers: Fred Bodenburg of Oakwood and John Bodenburg of St. Petersburg, FL.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Philip Bodenburg and her twin George Bodenburg.

Mary was a homemaker and a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church, Defiance.  She enjoyed reading but mostly spending time with her daughter and granddaughter.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 18, 2019 at Faith Baptist Church, Defiance with Pastor Mick Sobieck officiating.  Burial will follow in N. Mt. Zion Cemetery, Continental.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
