CONTINENTAL - Mary M. Motycka, 89, of Continental, died at 3:17 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center, Defiance.  She was born March 6, 1923 in Paulding to the late Alois and Mary (Kominek) Dvorak.  On February 2, 1946, she married Joseph Motycka. He died August 11, 2007.
Surviving are 3 children: Janet (Ken) Niese of Continental, Linda (Dwight) Niese of Lancaster, PA and Eugene "Gene" (Nancy) Motycka of Lima; 6 grandchildren: Andrew (Glenna) Niese, Julie (Rick) Hostettler, Vanessa (Junius) Frederick, Damon (Traci) Niese, Joseph Motycka and David Motycka; 6 great-grandchildren: Christian Niese, Owen Niese, Cassie Hostettler, Zander Hostettler, Hayden Frederick, Saxon Niese.  She was preceded in death also by a brother: Alois Dvorak.
Mary retired as head cook at Elmwood High School in Bloomdale and had worked at Heinz in Bowling Green.  She was also a homemaker and worked with her husband on their dairy farm.  She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City and a
member of the Czech Society of America.
A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Fr. Stephen Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green at 3:00 p.m.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, where there will be a rosary at 2:00 p.m.
